Hey this week I am sending out my own blog but thought I would add this one in as well cos it’s a good one…
I get a blog post sent to my email everyday from Christine Caine…one of my favourite preachers and today she wrote a great peice on seasons. My message for Hills women at the beginning of 2011 was that we would recognise the season we are in and watch out for the things that sabatoge not only the season we are but our ability to transition into the next one. I thought I would share what Chris wrote and hope it encourages you. I hope you are courageous enough to answer the questions she asks:
I am reminded that “to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Life has a rhythm and cycles. In order to navigate through each day it is important to recognize what season you are in.
So often we end up frustrated because we try to do the right thing in the wrong season.
I want to encourage you today to take some time and evaluate where you are.
Are you trying to plant a seed where you should be cultivating the ground?
Are you cultivating the ground when you should be watering?
Are you watering what you should be harvesting?
Are you trying to harvest what you have not yet planted?
I have found that if you simply do what you are supposed to do in the season that you are actually in, then God will bring the increase.
Take the pressure off yourself. Do what you can, when you can, where you are, and then God will do what only He can do.
